Joy (she/her) is an award winning Actor, Director, and Teaching Artist. Her solo show "13 and not Pregnant" has performed in New York, Chicago and Edinburgh Fringe where it was reviewed by the Scotsman, received 4 star reviews, and was awarded BEST COMEDY at United Solo Festival. Recent Film credits include: "Last Call for Istanbul" (NETFLIX), "The Art of Diversion" with Director Gabriele Altobelli, and "The Institute" with Gravitas Productions. As an Artist, Joy has a profound love for new developing works and finds creative fulfillment in originating characters and working collaboratively to support new narratives. Joy has helped develop new stories with NYTW, Rattlestick, Cherry Lane, Urban Stages, NJ REP, and more. As a Director Joy specializes in Female Solo work as well as Musicals written by some of New York's favorite up and coming female comedians. Joy's Directing works have performed at The Kennedy Center, NYC The Cutting Room, and Gibney Dance Theatre. Joy is a TA for Brooklyn Acting Lab where she writes, directs and choreographs new musical adaptations for youth. Joy is a proud member of AEA.
